History's Heavyweights: Vincent van Gogh, Isaac Newton and Paul Revere to Headline Aspen's Newest Art and Antiques Show

Washington, DC, March 24, 2009—- Boasting a cast of history's superstars and more than 40 of the world's best art and antiques dealers, the Aspen Art and Antiques Show (http://www.armacostantiquesshows.com) makes its debut July 2-6 on the grounds of the historic Wheeler-Stallard Museum in downtown Aspen, Colorado.

Elegantly appointed tents set amidst Aspen’s breathtaking mountain-village scenery will house an exquisite painting by Vincent van Gogh, precious silver by America's famed patriot Paul Revere, a rare first-edition by Sir Isaac Newton that revolutionized science, and a host of pieces with royal or historical provenance.

The historical venue, a stellar line-up of dealers, and a busy Fourth of July weekend all promise to make the inaugural show a big hit in upscale Aspen. With an anticipated roster of more than 40 respected dealers from the US and Europe offering for sale thousands of antiques and works of art, the show will offer a treasure trove of rarities from which to choose. Treasure-seekers will find a broad range of fine art, folk art, silver, porcelain, furniture, rugs, textiles, glass and much more, all backed by an assurance of quality and authenticity.
